CLYMET ROAD on Thursday, September 3 beginning at 9:00am, for the Purpose of Culvert Inspections and Review and Signing of the Nominal Payment Parcel Report for the Bobolink Road Bridge Project.

that the Town Board of the Town of Lowell will consider the adoption of a new Code of Ordinances titled “Code of the Town of Lowell” at 7:30 p.m., or immediately following the Public Hearing and Demonstration of the Town of Lowell Code of General Ordinances and the eCode360 Online Platform which will begin at 7:00 p.m. on

Thursday, September 3, 2020 – Beginning at 7:00pm

at the Lowell Town Hall

located at W8906 W. O’Sixteen Road, Reeseville, Wisconsin

You are further notified that a copy of said proposed new Code will be on file and open for public inspection in the office of the Town Clerk for a period of two weeks prior to its adoption, commencing Thursday, August 20, 2020, in  accordance with § 66.0103, Wis. Stats.

PARTISAN PRIMARY ELECTION NOTICE – AUGUST 11, 2020

Notice is Hereby Given that the Partisan Primary Election will be held at the Town of Lowell Office Building

W8906 W. O’Sixteen Road – Reeseville, WI For Wards 1 – 4 on Tuesday, AUGUST 11, 2020.

The Polls will be open from 7:00am – 8:00pm.  If you have questions concerning your polling place,

contact Clerk Susan L. Caine at 920-927-5787. The polling place is accessible to the elderly and disabled voters.

You are strongly encouraged to wear a mask and maintain a social distance of 6 feet due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. 

At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as a joint meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers and the Municipal Board of Canvassers for the purpose of conducting the local and municipal canvasses pursuant to Wis. Stats. 7.51 and 7.53(1).  This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.81-89.

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

For the August 11, 2020 Partisan Primary Election

 

Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot.  A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.  The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot.  Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.  

You must make a request for an absentee ballot in writing.

Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both.  You may also submit a written request in the form of a letter.  Your written request must list your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature.  Please include a copy of your current WI Driver’s License or Proof of Identification.  You may make application for an absentee ballot by mail or in person.

Making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail – The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is:  5 pm on the August 6, 2020

Note: Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror.  If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.

Voting an absentee ballot in person

You may also request and vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office or other specified location during the days and hours specified for casting an absentee ballot in person.

No in-person absentee voting may occur on a weekend or legal holiday.

The municipal clerk will deliver voted ballots returned on or before Election Day to the proper polling place or counting location before the polls close on August 11, 2020.  Any ballots received after the polls close will be counted by the board of canvassers if postmarked by Election Day and received no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Friday following the election.

PUBLIC HEARING – PLANNING COMMISSION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Lowell, Dodge County, WI will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on August 4, 2020 at the Town Hall, W8906 W. O’Sixteen Road, Reeseville, WI.  The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a land division and rezoning for Ronald & Kristine Rennhack, property owners, to create one, 2.00 acre non-farm lot on parcel pin #032-1114-3422-001, described as S1/2 OF NW1/4 NW1/4, S 5 AC OF W1/2 NE1/4 NW1/4 & N1/2 OF S1/2 OF W1/2 NE1/4 NW1/4 ALL IN SEC 34.

Notice is given that a quorum of the Lowell Town Board may be present at this meeting to gather information about a subject which they may have decision making responsibility and may act on at a future Town Board meeting.

This test is open to the public. However, due to COVID-19, please maintain a safe distance of at least 6’ between parties.
