Beginning in February 2017, the Department of Revenue Bureau of Equalization staff appraisers will be working throughout our 15-county district as part of an assessment review. The Department appraisers will be traveling throughout each county viewing selected real estate parcels that sold during 2015.
Reviewing the sales involves viewing the land and improvements from the road, taking pictures, and in some cases, talking with the buyers and sellers involved in each real estate transaction. Information gathered will aid the Department in identifying the market value of Agricultural, Undeveloped, Forest, and Ag Site Land in the county. This work is expected to be completed by April 30, 2017.
Department of Revenue employees will have a Department-issued photo lD with them at all times. The following is a list of each staff appraiser performing reviews from the Department of Revenue office, including the make and model of car and license plate number for their respective vehicle:
